This foundational course is divided into three key components: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. During the Knowledge Development sessions, you’ll learn essential principles, concepts, and terminology that are critical for dive safety and enjoyment.

By successfully completing the PADI Open Water course, you’ll earn the certification that allows you to dive independently, rent SCUBA gear, fill tanks, and book dive excursions worldwide. This certification is recognized globally, making it your ticket to exploring underwater environments wherever your adventures take you.

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 10 years or older

  • Medically fit to SCUBA dive

  • Must be able to swim 200 meters nonstop and must be able to float and tread water for 10 minutes

You’ll work closely with your instructor to customize your learning path by selecting from a wide range of Adventure Dives. The course includes two mandatory dives—Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation—plus three additional dives of your choice, making a total of five dives. This flexible structure allows you to focus on the areas of diving that interest you most, whether it’s exploring wrecks, diving at night, or mastering buoyancy control.

  • Must be 12 years or older

  • Must provide your own mask, snorkel, fins, knife, dive light, and slate

Emergency
First Response

Emergency First Response (EFR) training is designed to build confidence in lay rescuers and enhance their readiness to act during a medical emergency. This course empowers participants by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in critical situations.

Throughout the course, participants learn easy-to-follow steps for emergency care and practice these skills in a supportive, nonstressful environment. EFR training meets the CPR and first aid requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level certifications, making it an essential component for those pursuing advanced diving qualifications.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to develop your skills and confidence in managing emergency situations both underwater and at the surface. Building on the foundational knowledge from Emergency First Response (EFR) training, this course focuses on recognizing and preventing potential dive emergencies, as well as effectively responding to them when they occur.

Through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to assess and handle various emergency scenarios, improve your problem-solving abilities, and enhance your confidence as a diver. The Rescue Diver course is a critical step for those who want to be more prepared, whether for personal diving adventures or as a stepping stone toward professional diving certifications.
